In this blog, I share my experience on using standard SAP tools to extract mapping documents and enhance the cXML fields for Ariba.
Prerequisite:
- You are using SAP Adapter to connect from SAP ECC to Ariba Cloud.
Download Mappings
- Firstly a ABAP program (No Transaction available) can be used to download the mapping between SAP structures to cXML for Ariba in a excel format.
- Program name: ARBFND_DCXML_EXPORT_TO_EXCEL
Note: Note 1918732 contains the complete cXML structure plus the mappings.
There a lot of fields that are available for use but not all of them are mapped. e.g for ORDER_REQUEST there are over 4000+ fields.
- Secondly the SAP Structures and tables start with ARB and are easy to find or debug.
Enhancement point or user exists
There are 2 enhancement point which can be pretty much customise the interface to all needs. One for the message going out and one for message coming in with pre and post enhancement options.
The website cXML.org can be used for all cXML related questions.
